Yesterday was going so well.
It started out with finding a patch of lead foil like crap. But I noticed clay pipe pieces coming up in each scoop,
so once the lead was all out I spent some time just scooping and sifting mud.
You can bet that I will be back to this spot again. Targets were everywhere yesterday.
Brass was plentiful. As well as pennies and keys.
The large copper is a 1918 British penny. And it seems like the pantry door was left open. Right near the end of my hunt this item showed up. It must have taken me more than 10 minutes to retrieve it.
When you are standing in 3 feet of water that is a black as the ace of spades it is tricky to get a long target to sit in the scoop.
I was feeling kinda proud with myself for not giving up on this one.
