Thanks Josh..
Chase, those friends are some lucky people.
I have, since early childhood, dreamed of dropping off the map up there, Grizzly Adams style...Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

No way were you sarcastic Chase . Actually I give anyone credit that learns to ski after about 17 . There are just to many
elements . If your school or Dad sticks you on those sticks
when your a kid you
A.) Do not know it's cold
B.) pre cell phone days you could be all over the place without ANY supervision ..
C.) and my favorite is sibling time and competition
D,) you get yelled at if you complain so after awhile you learn and have fun. It takes years to ski .
But I see people learn to snowboard in their 50's
its a lot easier . Never tried I would have to live in the area
to get the recovery time .
Chase a good blue with control and having fun is way better then challenging blacks all day . I don't .. 20- 30
sure but now ... you give me a nice groomed corn snow
and I'll make some first tracks .
its really different now . They even groom the blacks that use to have big mogels all for the snowboarders .
Thats big business and competition now .

TAM I started skiing some fifty years ago. ...that's where the sarcasm comes in. I raced all the way through high school. And taught skiing. Done extreme skiing. Black diamond and moguls are fine but a blue groomed sloop and let the skis glide is bliss. As far as cold I live at 10,000 feet six miles away from the top of the continental divided. For me packed powder is all you get for most of the season and powder which most talk about but prefer packed powder so yes I was being sarcasticLook to the ground for it holds the past!
