I'm pretty sure you're right about the material, Matt.
Ron, I remember picking that piece up and thinking I was going to knap it into a point but then I saw the edgework on it and decided against it.

I mailed a box once it needed tape the guy actually looked inside before he tapped it. I didn't say anything but was thinking as to why a person would do that without permission

Red sent me a nice shirt and 2 net weights. I don't have any net weights for my collection. Haven't been able to find any. These will look good on my altered rock table and the shirt is long sleeved so it will be great to wear in the fields after deer season. Thanks man I had no idea you were sending to me. I'm wearing the shirt now fits me. I believe the smaller round rock is a grooved hammer like a Maul. Its very nice groove goes all the way around it. Other is a net weight and the notch is polished from use.

Glad you like those Red . Wayne does the auto cad and he dragged me down to the shop to learn how to run the plasma cutter . Those knives are our team effort project . I find the sheds he gets the knapped Chert then cuts that antler . You would laugh if you saw the stain process good old coffee and some paprika rub and soak in more coffee to get that end flower colored likes sunflower . Then stain . I keep one ready at all times
              Merry Christmas .

Frank also sent me what he believes is a manuport to his site, as nice as the polish is and pretty the stone I tend to agree. He also sent me this mystery coin. I'm not sure if it's pewter or what but I intend on figuring out the enscription, thoughts welcome!

That smooth quartz pebble could be a gastrolith . Nice

Never thought of that Matt, this stone could definitely be that due to the polish. It could be both a gastrolith and a manuport... Extremely cool whatever it is!
            Working...
