Was at church yday noon till 3.. funeral for one of oldest ladies in the church. ... real good person. I figure I'm goin down the river. And dedicate a find two her since she lived only a mile up above the river for 85 yrs....the river edge where I kick is solid ice...but where I jump up outta there I see this quartz frozen solid in ground...so i go up to the Jeep and put water bottle on defroster for ten minutes. Go back and pour it on piece and had a screw driver to work it out...I think it could been couple inches longer? The break is super crisp and sharp.. think it was a cool knife?..and I got a notched Rock too....SW Connecticut

It all started with a friend of mine and myself going on a hunt. The first bank we hit I head in one direction and him the other. We meet back up and he says I'm on the board. He hands me a broken tip. I said at least we did not get skunked. He reaches in his pocket and and as he is doing so saying not for Im on the board for this and hands me a perfect point. It seemed each bank we hit he would find another perfect point. Late afternoon we meet back up and says I have had it for the day. We get back into the boat head back to the truck and trailer. we are about a half mile away and he turns to me and says this is the last bank I am done I will drop you off if you want and pick you up on the other end. Which I did He leaves the bank and heads to the other end. about 10 yards down the bank I see what I think is a leaf in the water I poked at with the walking/flipping stick and its solid. I reached down and picked this point up. Half way down I find a broken tip and meet back up with him. I said kind of with a long face and say Im on the board and hand him the tip. he said something to the effect well its got good color to it. Thats when I reached into my pocket and said not for that for this.
Look to the ground for it holds the past!

Knives that I found both halves and were reunited. Around two inches long for all three. You can hardly see the breaks on the black and red ones. The white chert knife had too much mineralization at the break. Hocus Pocus.3 PhotosLast edited by sarahsue; 03-10-2019, 12:53 AM.
